| WELCOME TO OUR PUPPY ROOM! We are pleased to announce the arrival of a beautiful litter of 8 puppies born here at Northgate on November 25th, 2009!! They will be ready to go to their new homes in mid to late January, 2010, when they are between 8-12 weeks of age. We had 2 of everything in this litter - 2 liver females, 2 black females, 2 liver males and 2 black males, all fat, healthy and beautifully marked. Both parents are OFA/CERF champions. Please note that due to high demand our pet puppies are frequently sold prior to their birth or prior to their being old enough to go to their new homes. We encourage interested parties to contact us early to inquire how to get on our waiting list for this and future litters. Our pet puppies will be sent home with complete medical records, feeding schedule, sample of current food, a four generation pedigree, AKC limited registration, information from our parent club - ESSFTA, eye and hip certification papers on their parents, and a written spay/neuter contract with health guarantee. Show prospect puppies are sold by private treaty. Deposits for this or future puppies are now being accepted. The puppies are sired by our lovely homebred "Brady", Grand Champion Northgate's Turn the Page, OFA, CERF. "Brady" is currently the #1 Top Winning Springer in the country for all of 2009 (UKC) at barely 2 years of age! He is a multiple all breed BEST In SHOW winner (UKC) and a Specialty Best in Sweepstakes winner (AKC). "Brady" is OFA certified clear of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals and CERF certified clear of inherited eye problems by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation. He is also certified clear for PFK. "Brady" is a son of our AKC and UKC Champion Kehre Northgate's My Way, OFA, CERF, whom we call "Bobby." Bobby completed his AKC championship at only 9 months of age, with all of his points being taken from the puppy class, mostly owner handled. Along the way he earned a Specialty Best in Sweepstakes, a Specialty major from the 6-9 month class (Keystone ESSC Specialty), and was given an Award of Merit from the 6-9 class! Bobby is also a UKC Champion and was ranked the #2 Top Winning Springer in the Country for all of 2007. Bobby is the sire of multiple AKC and UKC champions. The mother of this November litter is our beautiful AKC and UKC Champion Northgate's NautiGirl, OFA, CERF, aka "Nauti." This is Nauti's first litter and she has been a wonderful mom. "Nauti" completed her AKC championship with back to back 4 point majors from the American Bred class, after having taken some exciting wins from the Puppy class. She then went on to compete for her UKC championship which she quickly obtained, and is now a multiple all breed BEST In SHOW winner herself! She is currently ranked as the #5 Top Winning Springer in the Country for 2009 for UKC! "Nauti" is widely known for her endearing, fun-loving personality, and her ability to always make me smile! "Nauti" is sired by our "Aiden" - AKC Champion Ridgewyn Invocation. "Aiden" completed his AKC championship with 4 majors, including a Specialty major, and is the sire of numerous champions. Both of his parents are National Specialty winners and Best in Show Winners - his father, Ch. Ridgewyn N Belvoir Uprising, was BOB at the 2002 National Specialty and his mother was Best in Sweepstakes and RWB from the 6-9 puppy class. His grandsire - Ch. Ridgewyn Legacy, was until recently, the top Specialty winner in our Breed history. We fully expect these puppies to be extremely gentle and very loving, with charming and amusing personalities much like their parents. Both get along very well with children of all ages and other animals. They have never met a stranger and will greet you with a smile and a kiss when you come to visit! We screen for conditions such as hip dysplasia, eye diseases such as retinal dysplasia, PRA, PFK, heart problems, and other health concerns. Our dogs are OFA certified clear of hip dysplasia once they reach two years of age and are eye checked yearly by veterinary ophthalmologists, then registered with CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation). Friendly, stable temperament is a priority in our breeding program. Northgate puppies are raised in our home with children and friends and receive lots of daily attention and socialization. Once they are old enough to be allowed outside and weather permitting, they are exercised by following us in pack formation to the barn or down to the pond on our farm. This teaches the puppies to follow the leader and respect authority and boundaries while at the same time getting plenty of praise and encouragement for their efforts. They love this! |
