| We purchased Mikie from Geri Wray primarily because Mikie's bloodlines go back to our original Northgate line on both sides of his pedigree through ESSFTA BOS winner Ch. McScott's That's Life, a son of our Ch. Northgate's Amanda Lass. As a show dog Mikie completed his championship in a mere four weekends, handled by Howard Huber. Along the short journey he acquired a 5 point major win by going Winners Dog at the prestigious Maryland Sporting Dog Association show in 2002. The career of the average show dog is short compared to its lifespan. Most of their lives are spent as trusted family companions. Mikie's life is no different - he is my son, Timmy's - best friend! |
| Mikie has been an important addition to our breeding program. His wonderful temperament and sound disposition have been passed along to his offspring, along with his beauty and intelligence. Mikie is the sire of our Sara, and is the grandfather of Julie, Missy, Roxie and Phoebe. He is the great-grandfather of Razzle and is a half-brother to our Lucy. |
