NORTHGATE has been dedicated to breeding and exhibiting conformationally correct, versatile and healthy English Springer Spaniels since 1975. We have bred/owned over 68 AKC champions including multiple Best in Show winners, Westminster KC winners, as well as ESSFTA award winners and dogs successfully competing in obedience, agility and rally. Over the years we have sold show prospects to many parts of the world. The emphasis of our breeding program has centered on healthy family oriented temperaments, sound hips and eyes, and conformation according to our breed standard. We are pleased to announce that in January of 2010, Northgate's Bailey became a certified Delta Society Therapy Pet! Bailey is now certified to go into schools and nursing homes. Bailey is owned and trained by Charlene Barton. More to follow on this. Also, late in 2007 we were selected by the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the Breeder of Choice to make a young boy's wish come true by placing one of our young English Springer Spaniels with his wonderful family!! | WE HAVE PUPPIES! A beautiful litter of 7 healthy puppies parents was born in January of 2010! We were blessed with 5 females and 2 males. They will be ready to go in mid to late March. Contact us for availability on this litter and future spring/ summer puppies! Our puppies are bred for exceptional family oriented personalities, along with excellent health. | We are located on 11 acres in the beautiful horse country area of Northern Virginia - between Gainesville and Warrenton, about 40 miles southwest of Washington, DC. Although we prefer not to ship, we are convenient to both Dulles International and Reagan National Airports. |
